Workers here at the torres shelter tell me although they are facing new challenges this year because of the pandemic, the community support remains the same.

Janine gomez unfortunately we couldn't have our two fundraising galas, we had to limit the amount of volunteers coming in due to covid and it's been wonderful for the community to come together, it's been amazing the amount of people that have been donating.

The torres shelter also hosted bingo and fun activities with prizes.
Right now they have about 100 guests.
They have socially distanced their dining areas and are serving people in smaller groups.
