This morning - state leaders are sounding the alarm... fearful of whether our state's hospitals can handle a surge in coronavirus cases..

State public health reps say people who ignored safety measures and gathered for thanksgiving ...could lead to a massive surge in cases that we will see by christmas.

Experts say about 12% of those now infected could wind up in the hospital.### governor.

Gavin newsom has reported he expects the arrival of 327 thousand doses of pfizer coronavirus vaccine by mid- december... that is*i* it is approved by both the f-d-a and state regulators.

Some public heath officers have said they expect no vaccine storage issues upon arrival.

However... some hospital reps are expressing concern with storage of large vaccine shipments.## new this morning- the state department of water resources has announced it will allocate just 10% of requested water supplies for state agencies.

The department cited record low levels of rainfall in october and november.

The d-w-r also says most of our major reservoirs are lower than average.

That 10% number could also change before a final decision before summer..

If weather permits - the burning will cover about 160 acres in the paynes creek wetlands area.

The u- k's health secretary says britain's national health service will begin administering the vaccine "beginning early next week"... the announcement follows u-k regulators approving the drug for emergency use.

This approval makes the u-k one of the first countries in the world - to begin coronavirus vaccinations..

Despite repeated claims from the president... attorney general william barr says the justice department has not uncovered any evidence of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

In an interview with the associated press, barr said the department did not find wide scale fraud which would have changed the outcome of the presidential election.
