Firefighters are asking to be moved to the top of the list for the coronavirus vaccine
Kentucky are asking to be first in line for a coronavirus vaccine.
Berea firefighter brent billings...says firefighters...and other first responders...put themselves at risk of exposure everyday.
He says...of course...doctors... nurses...and hospital staff should be among the first to get a vaccine...but first responders play a critical role too...and have to deal with people who may not know they're infected.
Brent billings: "i don't want to put anybody on different levels because i think we're all on the same team and we're all shooting for the same goal, but i don't see a reason for us not to be in that same grouping as the first responders in the hospital right now."
Billings says with such a small fire department...getting sick with covid would drastically alter services...and put the community at risk.
