More staffing for Missouri hospitals
About to get some help in their fight against covid 19.
Good evening, i'm alan van zandt at a news conference in jefferson city this afternoon, governor mike parson announced a 12 week partnership with a national healthcare staffing company to bring additional healthcare workers in to work in hospitals across the state.
760 staff members will be deployed to areas across the state -- they will include registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and certified nurse assistance.
The governor's office says the plan will add nearly 600 hospital beds to statewide capacity.

But the governor did say that cares act funding could be used to pay for it.
Administrators at mosaic life care say they have not received any information yet on if they will be receiving extra staffing.
