The Tippecanoe County Jail has confirmed that one inmate has tested positive for COVID-19.

That one inmate has tested postive for covid-19.
Tippecanoe county sheriff bob goldsmith says that inmate had a positive covid-19 test come back on monday.
The sheriff said that an inmate was released from jail and shortly after tested positive for the virus.
That individual let the jail know..
And they tracked down his cell mate who ended up testing postive.
The sherif says they went over 8 months with out a single case so they are going to do everything they can to stop the spread amoung other inmates.
"we have over 450 inmates currently incarcerated here we are doing everything we can.
Disinfecting wearing masks everyone is wearing masks the inmates where masks we are doing everything we possibly can."
Sheriff goldsmith says the person who tested positive is currently in isolation.
At this time he says no one else has tested positive at the jail and no other inamtes are showing symptoms. a white county icon passed away earlier this afternoon.
