The Centre agreed to review the recently enacted legislation and bring amendments after the 4th round of talks between the Centre and farmers failed to yield any resolution.
The government assured the group of nearly 40 farmer leaders that all their valid concerns would be discussed and considered with an open mind but the other side stuck to their demand of repealing the three farm laws.
Another round of discussions will be held on December 5 in a bid to forge a resolution.
After the eight-hour-long meeting, Tomar said, “The government has no ego issues.
The talks were with an open heart.
Farmers’ leaders raised several issues and gave us their views on them.
We have assured them that each of the points raised by them will be reviewed by the government and we will meet again on December 5.” Watch the full video for more details.
