Cody, what's on the agenda for folks?
Good morning, marlee.
Yeah, all that's left is a quick friday work day before folks can kick back.
But if you're not planning on lying around, i've got you covered.
For the next week, you can take part in the 'tis the season 3- point-1 ugly sweater walk and run.
The event is usually held in person in downtown lafayette, but this year, participants are encouraged to download the "it's your race" app and take part from wherever.
There are also prizes for this year's walk and run ranging from free goodies from local vendors to prizes for the top three male and female finishers that use the app.
Registration costs 35 dollars before race day and 40 on the day of.
Online registration is available until thursday, december 10-th and don't forget, just as a reminder, there will not be a downtown christmas parade this weekend.
The city announced the annual event would not be held due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Instead, santa will travel through lafayette neighborhoods on the santa express tour this sunday.
Starting at noon, old saint nick will head out from the lpd training center.
Usps mail carriers will join in on the fun to collect wish lists and letters to santa.

Purdue fans, there's plenty to keep you busy this weekend.
Both the men's and women's basketball teams, along with the football program, will be at home.
Men's basketball will host valparaiso tonight at 7.
Saturday, the football program will host nebraska at noon.
Then, sharon versyp's group host valpo sunday at 2 p-m.
