Therapy dog coming to Tupelo High School
Welcome back to w-t-v-a nine news at five.

There's a new addition at tupelo high school.
And with all that's going on with the coronavirus -- she will be welcomed ' "high five.
Atta girl.
Good girl.
That's tupelo high school principal art dobbs with the school's new therapy dog.
Her name is wavely, which comes from the golden wave mascot for the school.
One of the teachers found wavely and thought she would be the perfect addition, especially with what's happening now.
"it was a need before covid, but it's even a greater need now.
And we just need a reason to bring smiles on our students and our staff."
Wavely is a puppy still going through training to be a therapy dog but is expected to really get into her job next school year.
