City of lafayette leaders organized this event after cancelling the annual christmas parade due to covid-19.
They say they wanted to host something festive but in a way that meets cdc-guidelines.
Santa stopped at 15 different locations across town.
He even drove by the hospitals to celebrate front-line workers.
Mayor tony roswarski says the event was joyous for the community and the city leaders.

Santa was accompanied by lafayette police and firefighters.
His elf even helped collect letters for him to take back to the north pole tonight.
