Now back to springfield... where the owner of a popular restaurant was open for lunch today... we begin our team coverage with kezi 9 news reporter emma withrow -- who is live at "along came trudys" near mohawk boulevard and centennial.
Chynna all day long customers have been trickling in and out of "along came trudy's" some wearing masks some not.
And when i stepped inside for a moment it appeared business was booming.
Under governor brown's latest restrictions... restaurants in lane county are not allowed to have indoor dining.
The oregon health authority and health experts all over the country have stressed over and over again that the restrictions are necessary to help contain the virus.
But trudy logan says she's defying the orders to save her business and stand up for all the other small businesses facing the brunt of these restrictions.
I've worked really hard and my staff have both worked really hard to build this business.
And with all the shutdowns, there are no more shutdowns for me.?
But there are repercussions.
Logan says she is currently being fined 500 dollars a day for staying open and her liquor license has been suspended.
Osha says they have received complaints about along came trudys and have started an open inspection with the restaurant.
