Utica Children's Museum holds 'Fun-raiser'

The Utica Children's Museum is selling New Year's Eve memory activity boxes as a fundraiser this year.

Everyone is urged to not congregate in big groups,venat a children's museum has come up with a way to make your own new year's even a special one.

The museum now has a "new year's eve memory maker box" for purchase.

It's a "party in a box" of sorts that was created exactly for that a fun, memorable night-in.

The box includes sparkling grape juice, kid-friendly stem-ware, hats, noise-makers, treats and games.

There are also arts and crafts for the entire family.

The box itself can even turn into a time capsule.

(donna migliaccio, director, utica children's museum) tc : 12:45 "so everything at the museum is about making memories and creating those unique experiences for children so we took that in mind when we were trying to think of something that we could do as a fundraising effort and again with covid, people are staying home so what can we do to make things easier for them and celebrate at home and still make those memories with their family."

You can buy them on the museum's website for one hundred dollars....select a datte and time... and have them brought out to you outside the museum near the end of the month.

Proceeds will go toward the construction of the new uytica's childsren's museum location on the memorial parkway...which isn't planned to open until spring of 2022.
