Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente said the county will begin releasing the names of individuals that were found to be in violation of the county's COVID guidelines.

This is the latest measure by the county to try and stop the spread of COVID-19.

Will release the names of individuals and businesses that were found to be not compliant with the county's covid guidelines.

Picente expects the database to go live within the next couple of days.

News channel 2's brent kearney spoke to the county executive about this latest effort to stop the spread of covid-19.

Violators of the oneida county covid guidelines will now be publicly disclosed.

Oneida county executive anthony picente says its information the public has a right to know as cases continue to rise, .

None picente says: "when they are to the point of repeat or egregious violations in which their is no immediate acknowledgement or avoidance of it.

I think its important to know that we have taken certain action."

Picente says only the severe or repeat violators will be made public....after being investigated and cited by the county health department.

The database will be found on the county's website.

It will show the name of the indivudual or business...along with, what they did, and the dollar amount fined.

To give you an example, an individual that could end up on this list would be someone who is found to be hosting a large gathering and is cited by the health department.

Or a business that does not enforce the county's mask mandate.

The violations won't be entered into the database until the case is resolved.

"these cases they are entitled to a hearing depending on what the circumstance of the complaint was.

So their is the benefit of a hearing for these individuals in which they can state their case."
