Sheriff: 102 Vigo County inmates have COVID-19

Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse just confirmed that 102 inmates inside the Vigo County Jail have COVID-19.

The vigo county sheriff has just confirmed "102" inmates at the jail have tested positive for covid-19.

The sheriff says ... they all are in the care of jail medical personnel and are stable.

Test results are pending on 11 other jail detainees.

Two correctional officers also have tested positive.

They will isolate until cleared for return to work.

The sheriff says positive inmates have been segregated.

We've reported an inmdate died late last week and he tested positive for covid-19.

However, the coroner has "not" confirmed the official cause of death.

The sheriff says ... until this week, no positive tests were reported.
