Ashlyne wind..of ludlow..is one of just a handful of kentucky girls to ever recieve a g-s- u-s-a "life saving medal of honor."
Organizers say..
She got it..after saving a young girl from drowning.
In the fall of 2017- ashlynne who was just 17..
Jumped into action to help a 7- year old girl at the ludlow bromley swim club.
Officials say she slipped into the deep end of the pool..and started to drown.
Ashlynne was able to save her..with not injuries.
The award she revieved has been given out since 1913..
Its reserved for girl scouts who performed acts of heroism..
Beyond their age.
