oneida county color zone
In the studio with what the county executive had to say today.
Thanks, kristen.
Another day brings more death, more shattered records, and even more daunting numbers.
As if those highest- yet new cases and hospitalizations weren't enough to drive home the gravity of this, the county executive mentioned that the county's percentage of positivity on a seven-day average was 8.5%....it's actually listed at 8.9% on the state dashboard.
Picente acknowledged that, with numbers like this, it's likely the county will enter one of those color coded zones, which bring new restrictions, once the governor and state health officials review the latest data over the weekend and make an announcement on monday.
21:10 "if i had to make an assumption, i would say that we're gonna be placed somewhere on monday or early as next week or the early part of next week, could be as early as monday and we need to prepare for that" 21:22 and see what that is but clearly the numbers and the data as the governor says and as we drive our decisio in thatregarde ability to slow this down.
But today, he talked about new measures to make people feel connected to this fight and to their neighbors who are fighting...and who have lost loved ones.
We'll tell you what the county's doing on that front, new at six.
