A popular hotel along highway 1-38 east --- is*still feeling the effects of the archie creek fire&as they deal with damages that*may shut them down for*good.

However, tragedy struck three months ago when the archie creek fire swept through douglas county& leaving goodin little piece of heaven at risk of going up in flames.

I cried for hours because the fire map showed the fire was at steamboat?
But then a miracle happened.
The inn survived the fire.
Unfortunately... the infrastructure did not.
Their water and septic system were completely wiped out& meaning they have no clean water and goodin says it kept them closed for months.?if this place closed forever, i don know what i would do?

Although it a big number, goodin says he confident the community will come through to help?
If the hotel doesn make the repairs by the summer, owner melinda woodward says theyl have to shut down permanently.
She made a gofundme& but she says it wasn an easy decision.
