The body of a woman missing since Thanksgiving was found in a wooded area in Rowan county.

The body of jill clayton... a woman missing from rowan county, has been found.
According to the sheriff's office...clayton was last seen alive on thanksgiving day...in the three-c trail area.
Today, a search party of volunteers, searched for her..
The sheriff's office says a volunteer found her body around three this afternoon.
According to deputies... clayton's body was "somewhat hidden" in a wooded area...and was within a mile, and a half of the search area.
The sheriff's office..says her body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office in louisville to determine the cause and manner of death.
Investigators say clayton's boyfriend...gary jeffries...is still considered "a person of interest" in the case.
They say he has a criminal history and is currently in jail in louisville in an unrelated case.
