Holiday cheer.
Right now-- the evansville police are doing their part to make this christmas a little more special for area children they are wearing uniforms and badges-- and not red suits-- but you might call this group of officers-- santa claus-- as they pass out toys tonight 44 news reporter valerie lyons is live tonight-- from downtown evansville-- where cars are still lining up for the event cars were allowed to start lining up at 5 already a lot of people waiting in line behind the civic center event to start.
But the evansville police department is still hard at work setting everything up -- they say this is the most amount of toys they've ever had -- and they're determined to send every child home with a christmas present this year.

Chief bolin says -- once every car has come through once -- they can get back in line as many times as they want.

Epd says they will be here as long as necessary -- until every last toy is gone.
