Bad weather we had throughout the day has led to power outages overnight across the area.
It is a significant outage, affecting thousands of customers.

Joseph...our first winter storm of the year included a little bit of everything... from rain to freezing rain, to sleet and snow...in many cases it was too much for powerlines and the trees that came down on top of them...this is viewer video from some sparking powerlines from 19th and angelique...the damage has kept line crews busysot dan hegeman/evergy community affairs manager: "we have a number of crews locally working on it.
