Because of this recent announcement, coronavirus vaccine appointments are quickly filling up at sites in north mississippi.
Wtva alexis jones is live in tupelo to tell us there will soom more options to get the vaccine locally.
I'm outside of med plus where medical workers hope they can soon help with the next phase of vaccinations soon.
"out goal is to be one of the larger vaccination sites in the state."
Nurse practitioner, emalee gullick said med plus doesn't have coronavirus vaccines just yet.
Gullick said the medical team applied with the mississippi state department of health.
They are still waiting on state health professionals to let them know when they will get vaccines.
Sot: "it's in their hands and out of our control.
But as soon as we can get it from them we will start distributing to the public."
Once med plus and other clinics can start giving vaccines, gullick said it will help those folks get vacciniated.
(which vaccines will they get?) sot: "the places there are to receive it, the less the work load is at the only place there are now."
Gullick said med plus will become a drive through vaccination site when they get those vaccines.
