COVID-19 Surge Impacting Hopkins County Schools and Hospitals

With Hopkins County seeing a 40% increase in COVID-19 positive tests over the past few weeks, the county's hospital and school system are beginning to feel the effects.

We are waking up to cold and everywhere in our tri-state but hopkins county has been hit especially hard over the last few weeks hopkins county has seen almost 300 additional positive covid cases added in just the last three days baptist health reporting a 40 percent increase in covid 19 positive tests over recent weeks and this increase in covid impacting the schools almost 40 students and staff members in the hopkins county school system are dealing with covid, and this has some parents keeping their children online my parents have immune compromised systems, and its not worth the exposure for them.

To send them to school and run the risk of one of the kids bringing home something, that just not a risk i willing to take?

Currently hopkins county schools plan to return to hybrid in person learning on january 19th and baptist health is reporting more than a quarter of their patient population is covid
