The mayor says he is not watching for anything specific right now.

He is keeping watch on tif districts.

He says they make it more difficult each year to spend tif dollars.

The mayor says he is thankful the state helps with the food and beverage tax.

The mayor says he understand people's concerns about the governor's power to make emergency declarations, but he says somone has to be in charge and make the call, so he understands why the governor has made covid-related emergency declarations like wearing masks.

The mayor says he can do something for seven days, but then has to go to the cancel to extend his declarations.

Potholes: the mayor says if you see a pothole, call 311.

The city can usually get it fixed that day or the next.

He says potholes have not been a major problem so far due to the weather.

He adds that newly paved streets and crack and seal work has lessened the problem.

He says more potholes will come along as it gets colder and wetter.

The contract is being renegotiated, and the mayor hopes work begins soon.

The convention center project is right on schedule.

The mayor says the city is staying in budget and things are going as planned.

He says the owners are committed and it's going to happen.
