Stimulus roll out stalled for some, locals share their status

Some have already received their government stimulus payments while others are still waiting.

To recieve a second round of government stimulus checks will recieve them.

Kq2's ron johnson spoke to some local recipients on both sides of the issue and tired to get some answers as to when more people will see their money.

Weeks after the house passed the bill for eligible americans to receive $600 in government stimulus money, some are starting to see their checks come in.

It was directly depositedthis couple says they saw the money fairly quickly, but it did require some action on their part.

They told us they had to first file their tax returns, calling it a rather unexpected change from the first round of stimulus payments last spring.

Confusion a local cpa told us via phone that the irs hasn't shared any outside of it's get my payment tool, they say it's the best way to date to check the status of stimulus payments.the irs does say they are working hard to get those checks out as quick as they can, meanwhile those still waiting say they already have plans on what to do with their stimulus income it's all gonna go in a savings so i'm just waiting for my savings account to get boosted up but not yet.
