Riot declared at federal courthouse in Eugene, three men arrested

Three men were arrested at the federal courthouse in Eugene Saturday afternoon, after police declared an active riot and unlawful assembly.

In other news -- with less than two weeks left in president trump's term --- his supporters gathered in eugene this afternoon -- for a rally called 'stand against socialism.'

But the rally quickly got out of hand -- after protesters and*counter protesters starting fighting in the middle of the street.

What began as a rally quickly escalated to violence.*nats it started at the federal courthouse in eugene around noon saturday.

Flags were flying, music was playing -- but the energy soon changed.

Nats six people fought with sticks in the middle of 8th and mill -- some falling to the ground as you see here.

Even a stretcher rolled out at one point.

Numerous e-p-d and swat units arrived on scene bridge: police declared an active riot and unlawful assembly commanding the group to disperse immediately.

While some did, others refused.

Before all of this took place, many protesters told me they're demanding transparency in the 2020 election.

I feel they're being taken away.

Theyre not listening to us."

Three people were arrested for disorderly conduct.

Police say no tear gas or force was needed but they did feel it was a dangerous situation.

We have the mugshots for two of them --- 33 year old john saunders and 29 year old trenton brueggar.

Richard elce was also arrested -- and he had warrants out of the springfield police department too.

Eugene police say there may be*more arrests following the investigation.
