The Samyukta Kisan Morcha, a farmers body, issued a statement, distancing itself from violent elements in the January 26 tractor rally protest.
While thanking farmers for participating in the tractor parade in large numbers, the union regretted what it called " undesirable and unacceptable events" that had taken place during the day.
