A black Lab named Brady got himself in a bit of a jam, but DC’s Bravest were able to come to the rescue and reunite the pooch with his happy owner.
Brady was found to be stuck about 40 feet inside a horizontal storm drain that ran on a slight incline with water running through it.
It was located about 100 yards off the street in a dark, unlit wooded area.
Firefighters had to hike into the scene with a variety of tools, and provide remote lighting.
Portions of fencing also had to be removed to improve access.
Brady appeared to have no physical injuries, but his owners indicated they would take him to a veterinarian for further evaluation.
As for Firefighter Owen and the rest of the team, it was one dog gone effort.
