While speaking to ANI in Moscow on February 17, the Ambassador of The Republic of India to The Russian Federation, DB Venkatesh Varma spoke about India's Foreign Secretary visit to Moscow.
Varma said, "Foreign Secretary of India Harsh V Shringla is visiting Moscow on a two-day visit on February 17 and 18.
It is his first visit in abroad for discussions with his counterpart in the Russian Foreign Ministry for setting an active and ambitious agenda for bilateral relations this year, including bilateral summit when Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi." "India-Russia relations are rock solid and our strategic partnership is diverse.
Foreign Secretaries visit is intended to further deepen our cooperation in all sectors.
We will also expand our cooperation including to build on PM Modi's visit in September 2019," he added.
"There is a lot of excitement in Moscow about how India and Russia can cooperate with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic including in the field of vaccines that will be another area of discussions.
The regional and national situation is something where India and Russia have worked together and we will do so in this very complex world.
We look forward to keeping all of you informed with all the results of the Foreign Secretaries visit," Ambassador of India to The Russian Federation further stated.
