A delegation of 24 foreign envoys arrived on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation comprises envoys from Europe, Africa, South America and Asia.
The delegation of ambassadors to India will be assessing the situation post the abrogation of Article 370 in the Union Territory.
The delegation members are scheduled to meet the district development council members and civil society representatives, the officials said, adding they are scheduled to visit the revered Hazratbal shrine on the banks of Dal Lake as well.
The motorcade of the foreign envoys was seen driving through Srinagar.
Officials informed that security has been beefed up in the city and elsewhere in the Valley.
