Nickelodeon is planning on expanding the universe of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ and ‘The Legend of Korra.’ .
The network will be launching Avatar Studios, a subset completely devoted to creating new movies and animated series for the ‘Avatar’ franchise.

The studio will be run by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, creators of the original ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ series.
