India's second phase of the vaccination drive began today, opening registerations for people above 60 years and those aged 45 in the second phase of the inoculation drive.
In the second phase, Prime Minister was among the first to take the vaccination.
Till now questions had been raised that why has the Prime Minister not taken the vaccine.
Not just that he even opted out for the Bharat Biotech's covaxin that led to a barrage of criticism from the opposition for the trials for the vaccine still had not been completed.
Ever since the vaccination drive began in the couuntry, the Vaccine politics has been raging in the country.
A lot of questions have been raised by the opposition leaders.
Even today after PM Modi took the vaccine, he encouraged everyone who is eligible to come forward and take the jab.
But the opposition has not spared him.
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury drew a link to the Assam, Kerala and Puducherry elections to the PM’s gesture.
Chowdhury said that had PM Modi carried Rishi Aurobindo’s photo and Geetanjali with him, all five poll-bound states would have been covered.
Well after he Prime Minister wore a gamosa from Assam, while nurses from Kerala and Puducherry administered the Covaxin shot, many couldn't overlook the connection to the elections.
