One-Year Anniversary of Covid in Louisiana

Reporter intro -*nods head residents students and business owners i spoke with today tell me they ca't believe they made it through the changes after a year of covid-19 in louisianasot - "the biggest lesson would be to expect the unexpected" vo - unexpected turns and changes for one general manager who is still trying to push through this pandemic sot - "never in my many years in the service industry did i ever think that i would have to deal with being shut down and not being able to work , so you kind of have to prepare for anything .."vo - starting college was also different for freshmen with some rule changes leading to a non-typical first year on campus.sot - "it was strange, i mean like everybody else i was quarantining , pretty much summer leading up to coming here , so coming here was like my first step out of quarantine , so it was nice to be back to somewhat normal" vo - many are still hopeful for new beginnings and wha's to come.sot - "i hope we are smart ; i hope we have done the right thing ; i think we have but i's in my prayers every night and every morning that we all learn something from this , rather its patience rather its love , rather its preservation , rather i's not taking our health for granted or our age for granted , i hope we all learn something from this" reporter tag -*nods head ..

Now with the vaccine being available to many in the community, some i spoke with say they plan to receive it when the're able.
