CROSSROAD CHURCH BASED IN LEXINGTON AND GEORGETOWN IS DOUBLING DOWN ON ITS RELIEF EFFORTS FOR AREAS IMPACTED BY FLOODING.
May have receded...but the clean up effort is still ongoing.
That's why crossroad church...based in lexington and georgetown...is doubling down on its relief efforts.
The church's 'masters of disaster' group says it already donated 10-thousand dollars to help in winchester and beattyville...now it plans to match that donation.
The group also has 100 volunteers in both locations.
Some of continued work includes mucking out homes...throwing away wet items...and laying sheetrock.
Group leader darin kroger says he's been helping after disasters for 10 years...driven by his faith and love for people.
"i just let people know that they're not alone and that it will get better.
They may not see it right this moment, but it will get better and we're going to do everything in our power to help them."
