Water scarcity haunts locals of Purulia village

Water scarcity is one of the greatest threats to humanity.

Tribal belts of Purulia in West Bengal are facing extreme unavailability of water.

Water scarcity is one of the regular problems in Chayanpur, Lalbazar, Mohoda, Jolduar Golamara, and Bagra, claimed a resident.

Not only water but lack of medical facilities and deprived basic amenities also haunt the locals.

Most of the tube wells and taps are not working for months.

The village had seven tube wells out of which only 4 are in working conditions.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public rally in West Bengal raised the issue of water scarcity in Purulia.

Several complaints made at the local levels but have not resulted in any positive outcome.
