Much of the first half was a back and forth game between the two squads, but southland would continue building a steady lead down the stretch.

In recent years, southland hasn't been considered a championship continue, but this group wanted to to be the one's to change that.

And now they're headed to the section championship with a 73 to 55 win tonight growing up and watching our varsity team when we were younger, we had never been that successful of a program when we were watching anyways and it's kind of cool to be a part of a tide that's turning.

Our school hasn't seen something like that for i don't know how many years.

It's been a while so it would be huge for the school.
