A woman managed to rescue an injured hawk stranded on a highway in Beaumont, Texas.

A woman managed to rescue an injured hawk stranded on a highway in Beaumont, Texas.

Recorded by Christian Bridges, this clip features the filmer's grandma attempting to save a hawk.

After struggling for a bit, she grabs the bird by its wings and takes it inside her car.

Bridges said: "I was just riding in the car as my grandmother was driving when I noticed these long wings flapping on the road.

So, I told my grandmother and she instinctively turned around and blocked the traffic to try to rescue this big hawk." He continued: "Thankfully, it was rescued.

We took it to a friend's house and waited for the wildlife rehabilitation to arrive and pick the bird up." As per the filmer, the hawk is now "doing fine." This footage was filmed in August 2020.
