Oneonta man arrested twice same day

A man from Oneonta was arrested and charged Tuesday morning, released, and arrested and charged again around 3 p.m.

Being arrested twice in a matter of hours.

Tuesday a little before 11 am, state police arrested 34- year-old jason mandervle for mecing and petit larceny.

Police responded to a domestic dispute on oneida street in the town of oneonta.

They say their investigation revealed manderville threatened another person with a chainsaw.

He was found in a wooded area and arrested, then released.

Then around 3 in the afternoon ((the same day((( police arrested him and charged him with arson and criminal contempt.

Fire crews were dispatched to the same house.

This time it was on fire.

Police found manderville in a wooded area near state highway 205 this time.

Police say he started the fire and violated an order of protection.

He's now at the otsego county jail.
