Workers here at toyota are getting the pfizer vaccine which means they will need two doses to be fully vaccinated.
Administration vice-president emily lauder said that the company started providing vaccine opportunities on march 15th .
"thus far we have conducted six vaccination opportunities for our team members to get the vaccine.and we will be giving them the second dose here in another couple of weeks and then on april the 7th we will offer a second opportunity for our team members to get a first dose.
Toyota manager emily lauder says things are going well at the toyota with the vaccine.
So well in fact, that workers are lining up to get the shot.
"its important to this for our team members to take care of their health .so they're protecting each other here at work their family and friends at home " standup.."this is the observation room right next to where they get the vaccine.
Once they take the vaccine they have to sit here for fifteen minutes for observation ."
"we've had good participation so far we've given out 310 vaccinations here on site.
And like i said ,we plan to do many more coming up on april 7th."
Lauder says toyota has over 11-hundred vaccines that they plan to use either for workers and possibly for their families as well.
