The Utica Comets won’t play for at least another week, after canceling three more upcoming games through April 5.

Good evening!

We'll be another week without utica comets hockey in a seemingly never ending pause thanks to covid-19.

The team - along with the a-h-l - announced today that utica's next three games have been preemptively postponed.

That clears the slate for this week - with the comets due to play three games at home...against syracuse on wednesday and sunday - and the providence bruins on saturday.

The sunday syracuse game was a make-up from a previous postponement.

Make-up dates for these games have yet to bede total up to 10 straight games shelved temporarily as the team continues to navigate the league's covid-19 protocols.

In a condensed 32- game schedule - this is nearly a third of the season and while the comets were supposed to play 10 games in the month of march...they'll have only played two.

The team has not been practicing since at least last tuesday - and players and staff are currently in quarantine.

No specific date for a return has been set.

The next scheduled game at the moment is on friday - april ninth against rochester.
