Absentee voting deadline is Saturday

Tuesday and its important to be prepared before casting your vote.

Wtva's brianna bynum is live from tupelo city hall with what you need to know about if you're planning on voting absentee.

We are still in a pandemic and some people may not want to vote at a crowded polling place.

So here's an important date you dont want to miss- saturday april 3rd, which is tomorrow is the last day to vote absentee in person.

The city clerk's office will be open tomorrow from 8 a-m to noon..

And if you cant make it out tomorrow, you can vote by mail but ballots must be postmarked by election day april 6th.

And the clerk's office must receive that ballot within 5 business days of the election.

And of course you should bring an acceptable form of identification with you when you vote.

If you're voting in person on election day and you're not sure where you're polling place is, call the city clerk's office.

Election day is approaching soon, make sure your vote is counted.
