A rivalry series can produce some great moments whenever and wherever they are played.
But only so many stand out from the rest.
In a rivalry as storied as the oregon tech-sou men's basketball one... there are only a handful.
Newswatch 12 sports cameron derby witnessed one today which could be among the few.
"well it was instant classic here in klamath falls for round two of the southern oregon and oregon tech men's basketball for the weekend.
It included an epic comeback for the hustlin owls that started with the sharpshooting of kam osborn and the clutch shooting of keigan shivers.
All-in-all, the hustlin owls win by 6 in overtime.
For round two, the raiders needed revenge after oit dominated the first game.
The raiders came out firing on all cylinders.
Jake vigra hitting 11 of the raiders' first 13 points.
Sou had a dominating double digit lead for most of the game with oit shooting cold.
But with about 7 minutes left in the game, the owls came soaring back.
"i attribute that to depth, we got a lot of guys coming back and then a lot of freshmen coming in and guys in the middle as well.
Even if you only play two or three minutes, as long as you get in, give a 110 percent and the next guy is in."
In the last 6 minutes, osborn rattled off four straight triples, and keigan shivers started hitting as well.
With sou fighting back hard, the game was forced to oit at 89 a piece.
Then, a 7-0 run for the owls to open the final frame.
"you look up and the score keeps going down down down and the energy changed for the team and it got really fun."
Shivers would finish with 26 including the game icing free throws.
Osborn would finish with 24 and the owls pulled away, 105-99.
I'm sure hooties hooligans missed being here, it was different atmosphere for sure.
