Health officials step away from contract
News from andrew county health department this weekend.
They are no longer serving as the regional team lead for the state's mega vaccine clinics it has been organizing in conjunction with the national guard.
Speaking with the health department friday -- they say it was time to step back and focus on andrew county's health needs.
(jayne white, andrew co.
Health dept: we have vaccinated over 20,000 people in region h with the regional implementation team and that has required andrew and i to be out of the office a lot and so we need to be here and help our staff and make sure we are taking care of that.
We've told debra and our other local health care partners that we are still here and happy to help them however we can."
One example of that is the onsite vaccination clinics at tyson, triumph foods and other businesses around town that andrew county was actively involved with.
