A very exciting day here in west lafayette for so many.
Purdue university's vaccine clinic opened at the start of this newscast just moments ago.
Students are able to come to the cordova rec center to get their first dose of the pfizer vaccination.
Leaders on campus told me it's on a first come first serve registration basis.
The university is hoping to vaccinate up to 42 students an hour, with a goal of around 3500 students a day.
The clinic will be open 7 days a week and once again is open strictly to just students at the time.
Leaders say getting students first dose right now is a big step so students can get their second dose before finals week.
The clinic will be open until 9 pm this week and until 6pm the weeks following.
