Police identify man, officer in fatal Oneonta shooting

New York State Police have released the names of the 23-year-old man who was fatally shot by Oneonta police.

24 hours ago i was telling you about an officer-involved shooting in oneonta.

As the state attorney generals office investigates what happened on river street.... we are learning new information including the name of the officer....and the man he shot.

23 year old tyler green from oneonta....was shot at twice.

He died at the hospital last night.

The two oneonta police officers who responded to the domestic dispute --- are no longer at work, according to the mayor.

State police say sergeant ralph pajerski fired the gun.

Green allegedly stabbed a woman in the leg and threatened the officers with a knife.

--a toddler was also on scene.

This is cell phone footage from a neighbor.

But there is also body cam footage....that will better tell the a-g's office what happened.

Mayor herzig 6:43 oneonta is shocked, concerned this is not something we normally see here in the city of oneonta - as a matter of fact - i don't know if anyone could recall having a police officer involved shooting in recent memory, if ever 7:00 emotions are high, understandably so.
