Two terrorists and three associates were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.
Police seized arms and ammunition from the possession of the terrorists and their aides.
Police said that as per the preliminary probe those arrested were working for Al-Badr terror outfit.
“We acted on specific information regarding movement of terrorists in the area.
A special checkpoint was established near Kachloo Crossing by security forces.
During checking of vehicles, three people were apprehended by the alert forces.
They were riding a motorcycle and tried to escape from the spot initially.
After interrogation, they revealed about two more people who were then nabbed,” a police official said.
Two of the arrested were captured from Baderkali forest area following a search operation.
Police said that they were planning to attack security forces installations.
