Election Commission imposed a 24-hour campaign ban on Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh.
The ban has been imposed over his 'there will be Sitalkuchi in several places' remarks.
Commission 'sternly' warned Ghosh and advised him to desist from using such statements.
Four people died in a firing incident by CISF in Sitalkuchi during the fourth phase of polls.
Officials had said the jawans opened fire after they came under attack from locals.
The campaign ban on Ghosh will be in effect from 7 pm April 15 to 7 pm April 16.
Reacting to EC's order, Ghosh said he will not stage dharna unlike CM Mamata Banerjee.
Earlier, Ghosh was also sent notice by EC for his alleged remarks over the Sitalkuchi incident.
Poll campaign has seen EC clamping down on several leaders for objectionable utterances.
EC earlier barred Mamata from campaigning for 24 hours for remarks against central forces.
