An Indian Air Force aircraft carried an empty oxygen tanker from MP's Indore on Friday.
The C-17 transport plane ferried the oxygen tanker to Gujarat's Jamnagar for refilling.
After refilling, the 30 metric tonne-capacity tanker will return to Indore by road.
Officials said the IAF plane landed at Indore airport at 3:15 pm & left for Jamnagar soon.
Airlifting of empty tankers to oxygen filling sites comes after MP govt's appeal to Centre.
Officials added plane will return to Indore on Saturday to transport another empty tanker.
While tanker takes 20 hours to reach Jamnagar, plane covers the distance in an hour.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh has recorded more than 13,580 Covid cases on Friday.
