The impressive video, shot in the city of Changsha in Hunan Province on May 25, shows 520 drones forming the scenes of Yuan Longping working in the rice fields, playing with his cat and his portrait.
The scientist Yuan Longping was a Chinese agronomist, known for developing the first hybrid rice varieties in the 1970s.
Yuan passed away at the age of 91 on May 22.
