13 Action News reporter Sean DeLancey shares more on the RTC of Southern Nevada taking over certain bus routes for high school students.

In the daily debrief, I'mtoday we're talking aboutwithin the Clark County scDelancey is covering thiscan you tell us about thesare they happening?

Yeah,coming in response from afrom parents here in the,school district because thSchool district is doing athey've partnered with theCommission, which is Yourones that everybody can, caround town.

And so they'vRTC to essentially take ovfor 15 high schools here ito run other routes and avlot of the kids that wereupwards of an hour, even lbus to show up, pick themclass.

And the reason allis that right now, even thyear, the district is shorbus drivers, so there's juthat are running have to rof these delays.

Um the ho15 high school's kind of tthe younger kids to actualget the kids to class on tto the partnership and eveyou hearing?

Well, tright now.

My assumption abe that it would be as lonyou gotta put this in contbecause Nevada, Southern Nthe only area of the countwith issues like this, spebus drivers, there's a lotschool bus drivers, Many sare considering using thedrive school buses.

Um, inat it up just before we taGuardsmen to drive schoolNow, Governor steve Sisolacurrent that that's not soon his radar.

So this coulis drawn out and somethingand I guess it depends onAnd if this actually worksworks very good.

Alright.officials saying when it cI'm sure you've spoken toalike.

What are officialsto some concerns of theirsconcern because, I mean, ythat this is not a self coIt's not run by the Clarkto be riding public transppoint in time.

So officialdown on some of those fearare 12 cameras, 12 securitsingle bus that they have,that are gonna be runninggoing to be monitored by abefore the kids get onto tthat, you know, Metro poliareas, uh, to kind of keepmake sure that even beforebus that they're going tothat point.

And uh, when ihave you gotten a chance tthey nervous at all?

We'reYou're looking forward tokind of more on their own.this is not young Childrenonto these buses.

So they'they're teenagers.

Um manybuses for a while now.

He's overHigh School and he's actuabus to school for three yehe said it was always justreliable than C.
