In 1984 at the height of worldwide fame, 21 year-old legendary Def Leppard drummer, Rick Allen thought his career was over after suffering a terrible car crash that took his left arm.
Fortunately, he says, he realized the power of the human spirit, recognized the love of so many, and focused on defying all the odds, which he did.
Turning his personal tragedy into spiritual transformation and not only continued his musical journey but further dominated it, garnering millions more adoring fans along the way.
But there is much more to this Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, while he and the band continue to tour and make new music, Rick also gives back to the world, he has been recognized for his years of service by several Humanitarian groups for his work with teenage cancer patients, children with special needs, at-risk youth in crisis, and families of domestic violence.
He also uses his gift as an accomplished visual artist, and showcases his collections of mixed media and paint on canvas at Wentworth galleries across the country and gives back with every purchase of his works sold.
