The internet is buzzing right now with a story about Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch’s refusal to wear a mask in the Court chambers.

During oral arguments a few weeks ago in the Biden vaccine mandate cases, you may recall that Justice Sonya Sotomayor refused to attend the hearing in person, choosing to remain in her office and participating through zoom.
Turns out she did not want to sit next to an unmasked Gorsuch in the hearing – all the other justices wore masks.
According to NPR they did so at the request of Chief Justice Roberts – who was trying to accommodate Sotomayor.
News reports say the justice has diabetes and is at high risk for COVID complications.
Fair enough.
